About the Journal
The Journal of Media Educational Technology & Communications (JOMETEC) is journal in the field of Educational Technology. Published by the Department of Educational Technology and Library Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The journal is typically positioned as a platform for contextualized research addressing African and global digital learning challenges to:
i. advance scholarship in Media Studies, Educational Technology, and Communication
research.
ii. promote interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, educators, media practitioners, instructional designers, and communication experts.
iii. disseminate empirical and theoretical research that improves teaching, learning, training, and knowledge dissemination through media and digital technologies.
iv. encourage innovation in the design, implementation, and evaluation of media-based and technology-enhanced learning systems.
v. support policy and practice development in education, media industries, and
communication sectors, particularly within developing contexts such as Nigeria and Africa.

Peer Review Policy
JOMETEC is committed to peer-review integrity and upholding the highest standards of review. Once your paper has been assessed for suitability by the editor, it will then go through double blind peer review by independent and expert reviewers. To this extent, all research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous double-blind peer review, based on initial editor screening and the process of rigorous review process

Author Guidelines in Preparation for Submission
i. Length of Manuscripts: Articles should not be longer than 3,500 words, including references
and notes, but excluding the abstract.
ii. Title page: The title page to be provided should include the title of the article, author's name
author's affiliation, and suggested running head. The affiliation should comprise the Department, Institution, City, and State. Author's name and academic affiliation should be provided on a separate sheet.
iii. Abstract: An abstract of about 150 words is required. Key words of between 4-5 should be
provided and should express the precise content of the manuscript, as they are used for
indexing purposes.
iv. Acknowledgement: All acknowledgments (including those for grant and financial support)
should be typed in one paragraph on a separate page that directly precedes the references
section.
v. References List: References should be arranged alphabetically at the end of the paper. The 7th
edition of the Americal Psychological Association (APA) should be used.
vi. Style of the Text: Margins: 1 inch/ 2.5 cm on all sides. -Paragraphs: left justification; a single
tab to begin new paragraphs; sections to be divided with a space. -Line spacing: double-spaced.
-Font size: 12pt. Please use a font that is clear and easy to read.
vii. Footnotes: Footnotes may be used but minimally.
viii. Figures, Tables and Illustrations: Illustrations (photographs, drawings, diagrams, and charts)
are to be numbered in one consecutive series of Arabic numerals. Figures, tables, illustrations etc. should be numbered and their source or author must be included directly below the figure or illustration, even if the author of the paper also produced the figures, tables or illustrations. You may not use copyrighted material without the appropriate permissions.
